About Me

Hey yall! My name is Rachel. Welcome to Suburban Strut!

Nice to meet ya!

I am a full time working mother of three kids.  Claire is 8, Owen is 5, and Bree is 2.  I have been married to my handsome husband Shane for 11 years in July. We are very thankful that the Lord  has blessed us with a fantastic family and live our lives for Him.  We are born and raised Southern and have the accents, and love of sweet tea to prove it :).  If you want to read all about my family of five, head on over to my personal, family blog Footballs and Crowns...Life with the Browns.  You will get your fill on pics of ornery, but cute, kids :).
I am the daughter to my young, very fashionable, beautiful mother who taught me that you get ready everyday and never wear anything twice unless you didn't take a picture :).  I am the oldest of three girls and spent my childhood dancing, getting dressed up, braiding hair and playing dolls.  My sisters and I still spend way too much time planning outfits and shopping with our mom, it is what we do.  You may know my middle sister Tara, THE Mrs. Gibby at Jimmy Choos and Tennis Shoes

As a young mother and wife, working full time, I have still always had a joy for fashion and trends.  I may be a hot mess with three screaming kids, but my outfit is always put together and my kids all match :).  As I have  gotten older, my perspective on fashion has changed and I still feel it is very important to keep it up and feel confident in every day life, not just on special occasions. As I have posted on my blog and instagram, I have realized that so many other woman want the confidence, they just don't know where to start.  After feeling the Lord push me this way and yall asking for advice, I decided to start a realistic style and fashion blog to simply help other women and moms dress fashionably, within our reality and our wallets :).  I can promise you, I will never take myself too seriously and this blog will be full of humor and fun.  This stuff is not rocket science, it is just clothes, but at the same time, the right outfit or pair of shoes  can make you feel so much more confident.  We have little girls watching us every where we go, we owe it to them to rock what the good Lord gave us and do it with our heads held high.. and all of our body parts covered :).  So follow me on this journey as we trash our husband's old shirts and those holey yoga pants and look fabulous every day...even at the grocery store :)!
