I know most of y'all own black and brown cardigans and scarves. The truth is, that as versatile as they are, camel pieces are even more versatile! Camel can go with black, brown, gray, and navy. You can seriously wear it with every color. The key to having an easy closet to dress from is to have the most versatile pieces possible. When you add this color to brights, it tones them down and gives an immediate Fall-ish feel. It will go great with your leopard flats as well :).
We talked last week about how y'all need cardis and scarves to transition into Fall. If you only want or can get them in one color, get them in a camel / khaki / toast color. It adds a natural warmth to every outfit and can be worn practically every day. Here is a great example from Gap:

So Rachel, Today was an absolute "stay home and clean day" and then I read your previous post on Old Navy. I feel inspired by you and I like the way you dress. I love your sisters blog...but ummm, I'm a bigger girl 14/16 and she isn't "real" to me. So...anyhow off I went to old Navy...jean blazer...check....flats, check x2. Sleeveless tops...check x4, they didn't have the scarf so that was out. I did get a beautiful polka dot coral cardigan and a neutral color one. I'm going to go check out the camel one from gap as I have me a 40% off coupon right now. So instead of cleaning, I spent lots of money! Its all put away...no one will be the wiser :) Keep posting. I love your blog and I do love your sisters I just would not look good in what she posts! She, however, looks amazing!

I thought of you today. Bought a BEAUTIFUL camel sweater today at Kohls. I tried it on with every pair of pants I bought & it looked great with them all! I'm going to pair it with red pants though and the red bangles I just bought. LoL don't mind me, just planning my outfits for my first week of work like a kid starting school (=
